Don't miss out on this chance to empower yourself and make a difference, not only for yourself, but for your community. Online workshops now being piloted and available HERE!

This is a 12-week course divided into 10 in-person 6-hour workshops (or 10 virtual 4-hour workshops), including 40 hours of core-specific content. This series is dedicated to improve the confidence and esteem of sufferers of PTSS while preparing them for the other components of our wellness program. It is available for C.A.R.E. wellness programs which serve BIPOC adults ages 18-25 at no cost. It is also available by contract or registration to those interested in its benefits. This program component is designed around strength-based assessments and tools to build confidence. We believe in focusing on your inherent strengths and values, rather than dwelling on weaknesses, exploring tools for coping and more seamlessly navigating difficult situations. Our assessments are tailored to help you discover and leverage your unique strengths, fostering a positive self-image and boosting your self-esteem.

But that’s not all! Our training also includes engaging team-building activities and take-home exercises. Experience the power of collaboration as you work with others, learn from their experiences, and build strong, supportive relationships to propel you towards a more meaningful purpose. These activities are designed to enhance mindfulness and awareness, your communication skills, foster mutual respect and empathy, and create a sense of belonging.

To supplement your learning, we provide comprehensive workbook and journal prompts. These activities allow you to reflect on your experiences, reinforce your learning, and track your progress. They serve as a personal journal of your self-advocacy journey, capturing your growth and transformation, including a manual of tips and techniques to equip each individual with healthy coping skills to thrive in oppressive environments.

Join C.A.R.E.'s Self-Advocacy for Equity Training and embark on a journey to become the best version of yourself so that you can put your passion into causes that matter the most to you and your community. Discover your strengths, uphold your values, and build your self-esteem. Remember, your voice matters, and it’s time to reach down deep to find it, reflect on it, and to let it be heard!
